GuideGetting Started

How it works

This guide explains how to get set up with Ticketr and how the platform works.

To provide every customer with a personalized onboarding experience, we like to have a quick chat before setting you up. This allows us to understand your event’s needs and tailor the best pricing model for you. No event is too big or too small! To get started, click "Get Started" above.

Onboarding & Setup

Once you reach out, we can have you onboarded and fully set up within a few hours. During this process, you’ll need to decide on the following:

  1. Pricing Model: Include Fees in the Ticket or Not?

Ticketr charges a small fee per ticket for processing transactions. You have two pricing options:

    • Ticket price + fees: The ticket price is separate from the service and payment processor fees, which are displayed at checkout.
    • All-inclusive pricing: The displayed price includes all fees, so customers see a single final price.

Why choose all-inclusive pricing? Based on industry research, showing an all-in price improves conversions by 3-5%, as buyers prefer seeing a single price instead of an additional “+ fees” breakdown. For example, instead of displaying €56 + fees, you could set the ticket price to €59.50.

  2. Instant Payouts or Scheduled Payouts?

Ticketr uses Stripe for instant payouts, meaning you receive ticket revenue immediately after a sale.

    • Instant payouts: Requires a Stripe account. You get paid as soon as tickets are purchased.
    • Scheduled payouts: If you prefer, funds can be held in Ticketr’s escrow account and released in batches (e.g., at the end of an event or at set intervals). This option does not require a Stripe account.

Setting up Stripe account

To enable instant payouts, you’ll need a Stripe account. Follow these steps:

  1. Sign up for Stripe and complete the registration process.
  2. You can register as an individual or a business—a limited company is not required.
  3. Once your account is set up, contact your Ticketr account manager for the next steps.
